p. 199. Table 12, 1964; 15 columns, 4 printed heading levels. The stub heading ("Affiliation of union holding union-shop contract") and the tall single headings ("Total" under Number of polls, "Total eligible", "Total" and "Percent of total eligible" under Valid votes cast) are repeated down every level they span. Decimal points: this scan drops most periods. A few survive legibly ("61.2" for Teamsters/Employees involved-Resulting in deauthorization-Percent of total; "71.7" for AFL-CIO/Valid votes cast-Percent of total eligible; "100. 0" for Local unaffiliated unions/Number of polls-Resulting in deauthorization-Percent of total), confirming that all percent columns are printed to one decimal. I have therefore written the decimal point in every percent cell even where it did not reproduce (the image literally shows e.g. "67 6", "32 4", "34 7", "65 3", "73 7", "52 8", "65 2", "34 8", "27 6", "72 4", "50 6", "71 4", "28 6", "38 8", "74 6", "51 4", "100 0", "80 0", "47 8", "99 3", "94 4"). If a strictly literal reading is wanted, read those as digit-space-digit. Doubtful cell: row "Other national unions", column Employees involved - In polls - Resulting in deauthorization - Percent of total, is printed as ". 0" (a leading period before 0); I transcribed ".0". The parallel zero-percent cells elsewhere in the same row and in "Local unaffiliated unions" are printed as a bare "0", so the two forms are inconsistent in the original; neither is computed or normalized here. Footnote: "Sec" is printed without a visible period (same period dropout as above); I restored it as "Sec." and supplied the sentence-final period, which is likewise not visible in the scan. Values are not checked or recomputed; the AFL-CIO + Teamsters + Other + Local column sums do reconcile to the Total row for the count columns.
