p. 183. PANEL LAYOUT: the table is printed as two side-by-side panels sharing one set of column headings, and it is divided into lettered sections (A, B, B1/B2, C). Within each section I transcribed the left panel's rows first, then the right panel's rows: section A's left panel ends at 8(a)(1)(2)(3)(4) and its right panel begins at 8(a)(1)(2)(3)(5); section B's left panel ends at 8(b)(5)(6) and its right panel begins at 8(b)(1)(2)(3); B1 (ANALYSIS OF 8(b)(4)) is the left panel and B2 (ANALYSIS OF 8(b)(7)) the right panel of the same band of the page, so B1's rows (including its RECAPITULATION) all precede B2's; in section C the left panel holds "Total cases 8(e)" and "Against unions alone" and the right panel holds "Against employers alone" and "Against union and employers". SECTION BANNERS: the full-width banners (A, B, C) and the panel banners (B1, B2) and the three RECAPITULATION lines are recorded as label-only body rows. The banner "A CHARGES FILED AGAINST EMPLOYERS UNDER SEC. 8(a)" is printed above the column-heading box rather than inside the body; I placed it as the first body row so that all four banners are handled the same way. The column headings themselves are printed only once per panel, at the top of section A, and are given once in header_rows; the stub column carries no heading. DECIMAL POINTS: in this 1-bit scan the decimal point in the percent column is very often dropped, so many cells read as a gap ("100 0", "8 2", "56 2", "17 1"). Points that did survive (17.1, 1.2, 25.1, 64.4, 7.0, .1, .4, .5, 1.4) confirm the column is printed to one decimal place, so I rendered every such gap as the printed decimal point. The same applies to digit-grouping commas set with a following space ("10, 695" -> "10,695"). FOOTNOTE-MARKER CELLS: cells reading "(3)" with a raised 3 are a parenthesised reference to footnote 3 ("Less than one-tenth of 1 percent") standing in place of a value; I wrote them "(^3)", keeping the printed parentheses and marking the raised digit with a caret. The raised 1 after RECAPITULATION and the raised 2 after 8(a)(1) in the section A recapitulation are likewise written "^1" and "^2". LETTER-PERIOD: "B. CHARGES FILED AGAINST UNIONS UNDER SEC. 8(b)" shows a clear period after the letter, but no period is visible after the "A" or the "C" in their banners; I transcribed those two as seen. A faint period dropped by the scan is possible in both. PRINTED VALUES KEPT AS IS (not corrected): 8(b)(3) in section B is shown as 178 cases with 3.6 percent, though 178/4,856 = 3.67; and 8(b)(4)(B) in B1 is shown as 931 with 57.2, though 931/1,626 = 57.26. Also, within section B, rows of 2 cases are shown as .1 while rows of 1 case are shown as (3), even though 2/4,856 is itself under one-tenth of 1 percent; this is the report's own inconsistency and the cells are transcribed exactly as printed. ARITHMETIC CHECKS (all passed, supporting the digits): the 16 mutually exclusive 8(a) combinations sum to exactly 10,695; each section A recapitulation line reproduces from the detail rows (8(a)(2)=667, 8(a)(3)=7,654, 8(a)(4)=305, 8(a)(5)=3,088); the 8(b) combinations across both panels sum to 4,856 and reproduce the B recapitulation (2,451 / 1,766 / 340 / 1,626 / 14 / 26 / 419); B1's detail sums to 1,626 and B2's to 419, and both recapitulations reproduce; in section C, 46 + 1 + 22 = 69. NOTHING APPEARS CUT OFF: the caption, the "A" banner, all three footnotes and both panel rules are fully inside the crop; no cell was illegible.
