Reader’s notes
p. 177. Seven columns: stub, "All cases", four columns under the spanner "Unfair labor practice cases" (All C, CA, Other C, 10(k) C), and "Representation cases". "All cases" and "Representation cases" are tall single headings spanning both heading levels, so they are repeated in level 2. In "Decisions and orders" the raised 2 and raised 3 are printed to the LEFT of 780 and 227 respectively; they are recorded as trailing markers (780^2, 227^3) per the convention. Row "Notices of hearing issued": a single long dash rule covers the CA cases and Other C cases columns, so both are transcribed as ""; the 55 to its right sits in the 10(k) C cases column (right-aligned at the 10(k) column), matching 55 in All C cases. All cells left empty here are printed as dash rules (------), not blanks. Every row's printed values are internally consistent (e.g. 1,545+498=2,043; 55+5,699=5,754; 860+251+44=1,155; 1,242+2,722=3,964; representation sub-rows sum to 2,722), so no misprints are suspected. Footnote 2 as printed ends without a terminal period; transcribed as printed. The footnote 3 marker is rendered indistinctly in the scan (resembles an 8) but is a raised 3, matching the marker on 227. Several row labels wrap across 2-3 printed lines with end-of-line hyphens ("regional di-rector"); these have been joined. Leader dots after labels dropped.
