Reader’s notes
p. 27. Typewritten (not letterpress) table; each heading is underscored. The headings "Pre-Complaint" and "Post-Complaint" are printed on two lines, "Pre-"/"Complaint" and "Post-"/"Complaint"; they are joined here keeping the hyphen, which belongs to the compound. No caption, stub heading for the whole table, footnotes or page number appear inside the crop; the only rules are the heading underscores and a plain horizontal rule closing the table below the 1963 row. All six rows add across as printed (e.g. 2,401 + 796 = 3,197), so no suspected misprints. Degraded strokes in "Complaint" (the "i" dots are faint in both headings) do not affect the reading.
