p. 275. Structure: 11 columns — stub plus two five-column blocks (unfair labor practice cases, representation cases), each block being Total + four "Identification of complainant/petitioner" columns. The stub carries no printed heading, so cell 0 of each header row is empty. Section bands: the table is divided into three horizontal bands whose labels are printed as centered spanning rules inside the data columns, not in the stub, and the two halves of a band carry different labels (CA/RC, CB/RM, CC/RD). I have transcribed each band label as a value-less section row with an empty stub and the label repeated across the five columns it spans, the same convention used for spanning column headings. The row labels (Pending July 1, 1961 ... Pending June 30, 1962) are shared by both halves of each band and repeat once per band. Doubtful or reconstructed characters: - "Closed fiscal 1962", CA cases Total column: printed as "8 910" with the digit-grouping comma dropped by the typesetting; transcribed "8,910". It equals 3,794+1,495+3,610+11 and 12,186-3,276, so the value is certain. - "Closed fiscal 1962", CB cases AFL-CIO affiliates column: the scan renders the second digit like a "J"; it is 81 (33+83=116, 116-35=81). - The raised 2 printed to the left of 2,955 / 970 / 298 in the "Pending July 1, 1961" Total columns is read as a footnote marker, not a leading digit, and written after the value as ^2. Likewise the raised 1 on each band label (CA cases, CB cases, CC cases, RC cases, RM cases, RD cases). Blank cells: dash rules (------) appear under Employers for all RC and RD rows, under AFL-CIO affiliates / Unaffiliated unions / Individuals for all RM rows, and under AFL-CIO affiliates for RD "Pending July 1, 1961"; all are transcribed as "". The printed 0 values in the RD "Pending June 30, 1962" row are kept as 0. Crop: footnotes 1 and 2 are referenced by markers in the table but no footnote text appears on this crop — the image ends at the last data row — so `footnotes` is empty. The caption was excluded as instructed. Arithmetic: every band verifies internally in both directions (Pending + Received = On docket; On docket - Closed = Pending June 30) and across the four identification columns to each Total, in all 11 columns. No misprints found.
p. 276. No column headings are printed on this crop (the table continues from the preceding page), so header_rows is empty; the only printed headings here are the three centred band labels "CD cases^1", "CE cases^1" and "CP cases^1", which are transcribed as label-only section rows. Column count: the ruled table box spans the full page width and is divided by a heavy double vertical rule roughly at its midpoint. Only the left group — 5 numeric columns — carries any values. To the right of the double rule the box contains 5 further column slots of the same widths, ruled from the top of the CD band to the bottom of the CP band, but completely blank: no heading, no values, in every row. I have transcribed the 5 value-bearing columns only (stub + 5) rather than padding every row with 5 empty cells; the blank right-hand panel is a feature of the page, not a crop truncation (the box's right border and the rotated running head "Appendix A" are both visible inside the image). Footnote markers: a small raised 2 is printed immediately to the LEFT of the total-column figure in each "Pending July 1, 1961" row (103, 30, 108); I have written it as a trailing marker (103^2, 30^2, 108^2) per the convention. The raised 1 on each band label is likewise written as ^1. Stray ink: a small speck sits just left of the "3" in column 2 of the CD "Pending June 30, 1962" row, and a short dash-like mark floats between columns 3 and 4 of the CD "On docket fiscal 1962" row. Both are read as scan/printing artefacts, not digits or minus signs. In footnote 2 the period after "Sept" is faint or absent in the scan; transcribed as "Sept." All figures are internally consistent as printed: in every band and every column, pending + received = on docket, and on docket − closed = pending at year end, and the four detail columns sum to the total column in all 15 data rows. No printed value appears to be a misprint.
