15 of 15 figures sit in a row or column sum that works out.
p. 35. The crop is Chart 14, "CASES CLOSED" — a stacked bar chart with its data legend printed as a small table beneath the plot. Only that printed data table is transcribed (6 columns: stub plus fiscal years 1958-1962); the bars themselves and the vertical "CASES" scale (0 to 27,500) carry no additional printed values. The two small pattern swatches at the far left of the "C CASES" and "R & UD CASES" lines are graphic legend keys, not a text column, so they are not given a column. The narrative paragraphs above the chart and the running head/page number are omitted. Typesetting leaves a space inside some figures ("1 962", "1 959", "1 1,465"); these are transcribed closed up. All three columns of figures are legible and each year's two components sum to the printed total.
