p. 245. The table has 10 columns: a stub, four under "Number of elections", and five under "Number of employees involved (number eligible to vote)". Empty cells in the body are printed as dash rules (------) and are transcribed as "". Doubtful cell: row "AFL-CIO" (under "1 union elections"), column "In units where no representative was chosen". I read the printed digits as 147,503, but that value is inconsistent with the rest of the table in two independent ways: the row would require 71,034 + 147,593 = 218,627, and the column would require 221,647 - 74,054 = 147,593. Both checks point to 147,593, i.e. the fourth digit should be 9 rather than 0. I could not resolve the glyph at the available resolution, so I transcribed it as read; it is either a printing error in the source or a 9 that the scan has filled in to look like a 0. All other row and column totals in the table add up exactly. Row "AFL-CIO" (under "1 union elections"), column "Number of employees involved ... Total": the third digit is damaged in the scan and prints as a broken glyph. I read it as 218,627, which is confirmed by the column total (450,930 less the other rows = 218,627). There is a small stray tick mark in the header above the word "Total" in the "Number of elections" group, just below the group rule. It appears to be a scanning artifact or ink speck rather than a footnote marker, so it is not transcribed. The caption (excluded per instructions) carries a raised footnote marker 1 on "Collective-Bargaining Elections", but no footnote text is printed within this crop, so `footnotes` is empty; the note text presumably appears elsewhere on the page or in the report's glossary. The "v" between union names is printed as a lowercase roman "v" (for "versus") and is kept as printed. The first section label is printed "1 union elections" without a hyphen, while the others are printed "2-union elections", "3-union elections", "4-union elections"; kept as printed.
