Reader’s notes

p. 216. Five printed columns; one heading level. The last column of the "Under sec. 10(l)" row is printed as four stacked items ("73 settled^3", "48 alleged illegal activity suspended^4" wrapping over two lines, "6 withdrawn", "9 pending"); they are joined into the single cell with semicolons, since the grid allows only one cell per column. "Under sec. 10(j)" is a section line carrying only a label. The raised 1 before 83 and raised 2 before 9 are footnote markers, written after the values; the raised 3 after "73 settled" and raised 4 after "suspended" likewise. Footnote 3 is printed without a closing period. All printed totals are internally consistent (4+1+219=224; 3+0+83=86; 0+0+9=9; 1+1+73+48+6+9=138). The scan's dotted i-glyphs (e.g. "unıons", "instıtuted") are rendering artifacts of the 1-bit scan, transcribed as normal words.
