0 of 24 figures sit in a row or column sum that works out.

Reader’s notes

p. 197. Panel layout: the table is printed as four lettered sections (A-D), each set as two side-by-side panels sharing one set of column headings (stub + \"Number of cases showing specific allegations\" + \"Percent of total cases\"). The grid collapses this to a single 3-column panel; within each lettered section the left panel's rows are given first, then the right panel's. So in section A the rows 8(a)(3), 8(a)(4), 8(a)(5) are printed to the right of \"Total cases\"/8(a)(1)/8(a)(2), not beneath them; likewise 8(b)(3)-8(b)(7) in section B and the 8(b)(7) block in section C. The column headings are printed only once, in the header band of section A.\n\nSection lines: the centered all-caps lines \"A. CHARGES FILED AGAINST EMPLOYERS UNDER SEC. 8(a)\", \"B. ...\", \"C. ...\", \"D. ...\" are transcribed as label-only rows. In the scan the period after \"B\" and after \"SEC\" in the D line, and after \"SEC\" in the D heading, are not visible (they read \"B CHARGES\" and \"UNDER SEC 8(e)\"); they are rendered here with the periods on the assumption they dropped out in this 1-bit scan, consistent with the A and C lines.\n\nDecimal points: in the percent column the scan renders the decimal point as a blank gap for nearly every value (\"100 0\", \"10 6\", \"78 3\", \"60 9\", etc.), while the two sub-1 values print a visible point (\".4\", \".6\"). The values are transcribed with decimal points. This reading is confirmed arithmetically: e.g. 327/830 = 39.4, 229/273 = 83.9, 6,044/7,723 = 78.3, 16/3,608 = 0.4.\n\nFootnote markers: raised 1 and 2 precede the values they mark in the printed table (\"^1 7,723\", \"^2 7,723\", \"^1 100 0\"); per convention they are written after the value here.\n\nCrop: the footnote block is cut off by the bottom edge of the crop. Only the first line of footnote 1 is partly legible and it ends mid-sentence (\"... of the act. Therefore, the\"); the remainder of footnote 1 and all of footnote 2 (referenced by the 8(a)(1) row) are not on this image. The word read as \"section\" in that line could be \"subsection\" - the line is faint and clipped.\n\nThe scan drops the dots on several lowercase i's in the headings (\"showıng\", \"specıfıc\", \"allegatıons\"); normal spellings are used.
