p. 184. Ten columns: stub plus four under "Number of elections", four under "Number of employees involved (number eligible to vote)", and the tall single column "Total valid votes cast". The stub heading, "Total valid votes cast", and the two "no representative was chosen" columns are tall headings repeated across the levels they span. Punctuation in the stub is unreliable in this 1-bit scan. "1-union elections:" shows a clear colon; the "2-union elections", "3-union elections" and "4-union elections" section lines show no colon I can resolve, so they are transcribed bare, and the mark after "5-union elections" reads as a period. In the original these were most likely all colons. Likewise several "v." abbreviations have lost their period in the scan ("AFL-CIO v AFL-CIO v. unaffiliated", "AFL-CIO v unaffiliated v. unaffiliated", "AFL-CIO v AFL-CIO v. AFL-CIO v. AFL-CIO", "AFL-CIO v AFL-CIO v. unaffiliated v unaffiliated", and the second "v" in the 5-union label); these are transcribed as they appear rather than regularized. The "5-union elections. AFL-CIO v. AFL-CIO v AFL-CIO v. AFL-CIO v. AFL-CIO" label is printed on two lines and is a single data row carrying values, not a section line. Blank cells are dash rules in the image (an unaffiliated-union column on an all-AFL-CIO row, and vice versa) and are rendered as "". Printed zeros are kept as 0. Arithmetic cross-checks all pass as printed: every data row's three outcome cells sum to its row total for both elections and employees, and all nine value columns sum down to the "Total" row (elections 5,428; 2,302; 1,108; 2,018; employees 430,023; 171,441; 85,587; 172,995; valid votes 385,794). No suspected misprints. The rotated "1856—60——13" at the left edge is a printer's signature mark, not table content, and is excluded.
