0 of 22 figures sit in a row or column sum that works out.
p. 174. Five columns: stub plus Number/Percent under each of the two date-range spanners. No footnotes are printed under the table. Decimal points: in both Percent columns the scan has dropped most decimal points, so values render as "100 0", "70 9", "68 4", etc. The point survives in two cells of this same column ("1.8" and ".7"), and every value in the column is printed to one decimal place, so I have transcribed these as decimals ("100.0", "70.9", "68.4", ...). The two cells printed as a bare "0" (Supreme Court, "Board orders enforced with modification" and "Remanded to court of appeals", FY1958 Percent) show no decimal digit at all and are transcribed as "0". Arithmetic inconsistencies, transcribed as printed and not corrected: 1. Courts of appeals, FY1958: the five component Numbers (39, 4, 4, 1, 8) do sum to the printed total 56, but the printed Percents (70.9, 7.2, 7.2, 1.8, 12.5) sum to 99.6 and are not those counts' shares of 56 (which would be 69.6, 7.1, 7.1, 1.8, 14.3); they are closer to shares of a base of about 55. The digits in that Percent column were legible on both readings. 2. Supreme Court, July 5, 1935–June 30, 1958: the five component Numbers (78, 11, 14, 2, 7) sum to 112, against the printed total of 114. The printed Percents in that column (68.4, 10.5, 12.3, 1.8, 6.7) are consistent with 78, 12, 14, 2 out of 114 for the first four rows, so the printed "11" may be a misprint for 12; I have left both the "11" and the "7" exactly as printed. The 1-bit scan renders many dotless i's ("decıded", "modıfication", "asıde"); row labels are given with normal spelling. Row 5's label wraps onto two printed lines ("Board orders partially enforced and partially / remanded") with its figures set on the second line, and is joined into one row. The crop shows the full table, caption to bottom rule, with nothing cut off.
