p. 158. PANEL LAYOUT: each of the three lettered sections (A, B, C) is printed as two side-by-side panels sharing the same two value columns, so the grid has 3 columns (stub + 2). Following the panel rule, within each section the left panel's rows are given first, then the right panel's rows. In section A the left panel holds "Total cases", "8 (a) (1)", "8 (a) (2)" and the right panel holds "8 (a) (3)"-"8 (a) (5)"; in section B the left panel holds "Total cases", "8 (b) (1)", "8 (b) (2)" and the right panel "8 (b) (3)"-"8 (b) (6)"; in section C the left panel holds "Total cases 8 (b) (1)" with its (A) and (B) breakdown and the right panel "Total cases 8 (b) (4)" with its (A)-(D) breakdown. The right panels of sections A and B have no total row of their own. The column headings are printed once, at the top of the page above section A, and govern all three sections. LOST PERIODS: this scan has dropped essentially every period on the page — decimal points, abbreviation periods and sentence-ending periods alike (the gaps are visible but no glyph survives). The percent values therefore appear as "100 0", "76 6", "11 6", etc. I have restored the decimal point in every cell of the "Percent of total cases" column, since the column is uniformly printed to one decimal place and each restored value reproduces the ratio of its own case count to the relevant section total (e.g. 4,649/6,068 = 76.6; 1,952/3,192 = 61.2; 203/719 = 28.2). I likewise restored the periods in "A.", "B.", "C.", "SEC." and in the two footnotes. No digit was altered, added or removed anywhere. The percent for "8 (b) (6)" is printed with no leading zero and reads ".5" (17/3,192 = 0.53); it is right-aligned under the other percent figures, so the only lost character is the decimal point. The raised 1 and 2 markers are printed to the left of their values in both value columns; they are recorded after the value behind a caret. There is a small stray mark at the right-hand end of the leader dots on the "8 (a) (1)" stub label; it reads as a scanning artifact, not a footnote marker, and the marker for that row is the raised 2 on its values. Section-heading capitalisation follows the printed small-caps/caps lines; the caption "Table 2.—Types of Unfair Labor Practices Alleged, Fiscal Year 1958" is omitted as instructed. Nothing appears cut off by the crop.
