The stub heading likewise spans all three levels.\n\nDoubtful digit: row \"AFL-CIO v. unaffiliated\" (2-union elections), column \"Number of employees involved / In units in which representation rights were won by— / AFL-CIO affiliates\". The scan renders the leading digit ambiguously, reading much like \"80,206\". I transcribed it as 30,206 because both cross-sums force that value: 30,206 + 69,495 + 1,222 = 100,923, the row's printed employee total, and the column sums to the printed 176,497 only with 30,206. Flagged here rather than silently corrected.\n\nAll other arithmetic checks pass: every data row's three components sum to its printed row total in both the elections block and the employees block, and all nine value columns sum to the printed \"Total\" row. No misprints detected.\n\nDash rules (\"-------\") in the \"won by\" columns, used where a union type did not participate in that election class, are transcribed as empty cells.
