p. 185. Eleven columns: stub plus 3 under "Elections participated in", 3 under "Employees involved (number eligible to vote)", 4 under "Valid votes cast". Footnotes: the table carries footnote markers (superscript 1 on the caption's "Collective-Bargaining Elections"; superscript 2 on the Total row's "4,729", "458,904" and "410,619"), but the footnote text itself is cut off by the crop — only the top sliver of the first footnote line ("1 The term 'collective-bargaining election' ...") is visible and it is not legible enough to transcribe, so `footnotes` is empty. Decimal points: in several percent cells the printed decimal point did not survive the scan and the cell reads like "58 7". Given the column context (all other percents carry one decimal) I transcribed these as decimals: Total / "Percent of total eligible" (valid votes) = 89.5; AFL-CIO / "Percent won" = 58.7; AFL-CIO / "Percent of total eligible" (valid votes) = 89.6; Unaffiliated / "Percent of total eligible" (valid votes) = 86.1. Arithmetic as printed: the two component rows do not sum to the Total row (4,464 + 510 = 4,974 vs. 4,729; 444,960 + 125,030 = 569,990 vs. 458,904), which is what the superscript-2 markers on the Total row almost certainly explain (elections in which both an affiliated and an unaffiliated union participated are counted once in the total but in both component rows). Values are transcribed exactly as printed. Stub heading reads "Union affiliation"; the scan renders it "Umon affiliation" because of broken "ni" ligatures, which also affect "participated in", "eligible" and "union" elsewhere in the headings.
