Reader’s notes

p. 196. Five printed columns (stub plus four), single heading level. The footnote markers for the "Under sec. 10 (l)" row are printed as raised digits *before* the figures (¹ 22, ² 5) and likewise in the Total row (⁵ 79); they are recorded after the value behind a caret per the convention. In the last column, the "Under sec. 10 (l)" cell occupies five printed lines ("32 settled ³", "6 withdrawn.", "7 alleged illegal activity suspended.⁴", "9 pending.") — it is one cell and has been joined into a single line. In the row label "Under sec. 10 (l)" the period after "sec" is faint/possibly broken away in the scan (printed as "Under sec 10 (l)" with a wide gap); it has been transcribed with the period, matching the "Under sec. 10 (j):" line above. The scan has worn/dotted "i" characters throughout (e.g. "instituted", "withdrawn"), but no digit is in doubt. Printed totals are internally consistent: 1+0+78 = 79, and 1+0+32+6+7+9 = 55.
