FOOTNOTE-REFERENCE CELLS: in the "Date temporary injunction granted" column, four cells hold a parenthesised superior 1 standing alone in place of a date (rows 2-CD-40, 2-CC-230, 6-CC-75, 9-CC-49 9-CD-17). These are written `(^1)` to show the digit is a raised footnote reference, not a value. MULTI-CASE STUBS (one printed row, several case numbers): - "6-CC-60 6-CD-14": the two case numbers are on consecutive lines, but the company name ("AFL-Teamsters, Locals 249 and 236 (Roy / Stone Transfer Corp.).") wraps across both, so this is one printed row. In "Jan 29, 1953" (9-CC-49) a stray dot sits between "Jan" and "29" and the year is set in a heavier face. - Several company names show a gap before the closing parenthesis where a period appears to have dropped out: "(Hammermill Paper Co)", "(Sound Shingle Co)", "(Capital Service, Inc)", "(Motor Freight Carriers of Ind)", "(Bonded Freightways, Inc)", "(Crain Bros. The grid has 10 columns, confirmed from the vertical rules: stub (case number), name of respondent/case, a date column, the section column ("10 (l)"/"10 (j)"), then six further date columns, the last five of which are mostly filled with dash rules (transcribed as ""). No footnote text appears on this crop, although several cells carry the reference "(1)" (a parenthesised superscript 1 pointing to a footnote printed elsewhere on the page); it is transcribed literally as "(1)" because it stands alone as the whole cell rather than being attached to a value. Doubtful/judgment calls: - Row 1 ("2-CC-235"): the name column shows "AFL-Federal Labor Union 24368" followed by full leader dots, then "AFL-Electrical Workers, Local 1614 (Metropolitan Wire Goods)." on the next two lines. The dates and the case number sit on the first of those lines, so I have treated all three lines as a single row naming two unions. If the printer intended two separate respondents on one entry, the joined text may read oddly; no other row in the crop uses leader dots in the name column. - The section column reads as "10 (1)" in the scan; it is the statutory section 10(l) (lowercase L), and row "2-CA-2554, 2907." is 10(j). Transcribed as "10 (l)" and "10 (j)". - The scan drops several periods that are almost certainly present in the printing: "Inc )" (2-CD-70), "Electric Co )" (6-CC-78), and "Jan 22, 1953" in the last-but-one column of row 1. I have restored them as "Inc.).", "Electric Co.).", and "Jan. 22, 1953"; the row-1 date in particular shows no visible period in this scan. - "13-CC-62": a stray comma-like mark follows "Local 200" before the parenthesis; treated as a printing artifact and not transcribed. - "24-CC-19": the parenthetical reads "(Ass'n Azucarera Corp., Lafayette)" in the scan; this is likely a setting of "Asoc. p. 127. The crop is a "—Continued" page of Table 20; column headings are reprinted on it, so header_rows is filled. No footnote block is printed on this page (the table runs on past the bottom rule), hence footnotes is empty, even though footnote markers are referenced in the body. Cells containing only a parenthesized superscript numeral — "(1)" in the "Date temporary injunction granted" column of rows 5-CC-29, 3-CC-26/28/29, 4-CC-39, 6-CC-82 and 3-CC-31/32, and "(1) (6)" in the "Date injunction proceedings withdrawn or dismissed" column of row 1-CC-88 — are footnote references standing in place of a date, not data values; they are transcribed as printed. In 1-CC-88 the second marker is faint: it reads "(6)" but "(5)" or "(8)" cannot be fully ruled out. Other doubtful cells: the stub of row 13 reads "36-CD-11" with a small smudge after the last digit that may be a stray mark or a trailing character (possibly "36-CD-117"); the company name in row 14-CC-44, 45 reads "Atkings Pickle Co." and may be a misprint for "Atkins". Many terminal periods inside the closing parentheses of company names ("Inc.)", "Corp.)", "Co.)", "et al.)") are faint or dropped out in this 1-bit scan and have been transcribed as the intended period. In row 36-CD-11 the word "Columbia" is broken across printed lines as "Co / lumbia" with no visible hyphen; it has been rejoined. The "Type of petition" entries are section 10(l) of the Act; the character after "10 (" is a lowercase letter l, not the digit 1. Ditto entries in the "Date petition for injunction filed" column are printed as leader-dotted "do" and are transcribed as "do". The vertical text along the right edge of the image is the rotated running head and page number, not table content.

The column count (10) is taken from the vertical rules, which run the full height of the body band; six separate dash-rule segments appear to the right of the "10 (l)" column in the all-blank rows, confirming columns 5 through 10. Column placement of the two non-blank entries right of "10 (l)": "June 26, 1953" (row 30-CC-19) sits in the 8th column (the 4th column after "10 (l)"); the parenthesised raised 1 (row 1-CC-91) sits in the 7th column (3rd after "10 (l)"). These were read off the ruling positions and are the least certain part of the grid. Row 1-CC-91: the cell contains only a raised 1 in parentheses standing in for a value; transcribed "(^1)". The scan is 1-bit and drops faint periods. In rows 14-CC-47, 30-CC-19 and 7-CC-20 the closing parenthesis of the company name is preceded by a visible gap where a period after "Co" has dropped out (rows 1-CC-91 and 13-CC-77 show "Co.)." clearly); the periods were restored. Footnote 2: the mark between "20-CB-171" and "184" prints like a period but is almost certainly a comma, matching "20-CA-523, 567" in the same note; transcribed as a comma. Footnote 3 has no terminal period as printed. Footnote markers 2 through 6 do not appear anywhere on this crop — they attach to rows on earlier pages of the same table. A small stray ink mark (comma- or check-like) sits at the far right of row 30-CC-19 inside the last column, over the dash rule; treated as a scanning artifact and the cell left blank.
