Reader’s notes
p. 119. 15 columns: stub plus 5 under "Elections participated in", 5 under "Employees involved in elections (number eligible to vote)", and 4 under "Valid votes cast". Three heading levels; "Total", "Total eligible", "Percent of total eligible" (the Valid votes cast one) and the stub heading are tall headings spanning levels. Decimal points: this scan drops most decimal points in the percentage columns, so the image shows e.g. "31 2", "68 8", "49 0", "90 0" with a gap where the point belongs. Only a few survive legibly (the Total-elections "50. 9" and the A. F. L. "46.6"). All percentage cells are transcribed with a decimal point, since the column structure and arithmetic confirm one digit after the point throughout (e.g. 44/141 = 31.2, 97/141 = 68.8, 4,869/9,945 = 49.0). No value was otherwise altered. Row labels "A. F. L." and "C. I. O." lose some periods in the scan as well ("C. I O" as printed on the image); transcribed with the full stops the typesetting intends. Cross-checks all hold as printed: the three affiliation rows sum to the Total elections row in every count column (83+45+13 = 141; 23+18+3 = 44; 60+27+10 = 97; 5,141+3,528+1,276 = 9,945; 1,973+2,185+711 = 4,869; 3,168+1,343+565 = 5,076; 4,523+3,248+1,176 = 8,947; 2,109+1,847+602 = 4,558), and every percentage matches its ratio. No footnotes or footnote markers are printed under the table. The caption line was omitted as instructed.
