59 of 59 figures sit in a row or column sum that works out.
p. 118. Eight columns: stub, "Employees eligible to vote", "Total valid votes cast", "Percent casting valid votes", a three-column spanner "Valid votes cast for losing unions" (A. F. L. affiliates / C. I. O. affiliates / Unaffiliated unions), and "Valid votes cast for no union". Decimal points in the "Percent casting valid votes" column are mostly broken or dropped out in this scan (e.g. the Total row prints as "90 9", and most body rows likewise show a gap rather than a visible period); only a few, such as 91.5 and 91.4, show the point clearly. Because the column is uniformly one-decimal and every value I read reproduces the ratio of the two preceding columns, I have written a decimal point in all of them. Periods inside the A. F. L. / C. I. O. abbreviations are frequently faint or missing in the scan, both in the column heading ("A F. L. affiliates") and in row labels ("A. F. L -A. F. L", "A. F L.-A. F. L.-A. F. L."). I have transcribed these with the full, regular punctuation the table intends. Blank cells in the three "losing unions" columns are printed as dash rules and are given as "". In the "Unaffiliated unions" column, the cells for "A. F. L.-A. F. L.", "A. F. L.-A. F. L.-C. I. O." and (on the "C. I. O.-C. I. O." line) the dash rules are partly smudged by show-through from the facing page, but no digits are present; they are empty. Arithmetic check: all six numeric columns sum down the twelve detail rows exactly to the printed Total row (153,548; 139,621; 23,719; 23,358; 1,522; 91,022), and the four vote columns of the Total row sum to 139,621. No misprints detected. A footnote line is printed below the table rule but is cut off by the bottom edge of the crop — only the top sliver of its letterforms is visible (it appears to be footnote 1, referring back to a definition in an earlier table). I have not transcribed it, since I cannot read it reliably; footnote marker 1 itself appears only on the caption, which is excluded.
