p. 107. Structure: the table is printed as two stacked panels, "A. BY EMPLOYERS 1" and "B. BY UNIONS 2", sharing one set of column headings (printed only over panel A). Both panel headings are carried as label-only section rows in the stub, in printed capitalisation, with their raised footnote markers. Within each panel the words "Cases" and "Workers" are printed centred across the three data columns as banner sub-headings between horizontal rules, not in the stub. They are transcribed as label-only rows in the stub column so the grid stays rectangular; they are not row labels in the original. Panel B repeats no column headings of its own, so the single header row applies to both panels. Footnote markers 3 and 4 are raised digits printed to the LEFT of their values ("3 1,976", "4 1,011", "3 87", "4 112"); per convention they are written after the value behind a caret. They are not part of the numbers. Arithmetic check (no values altered): every row's two component columns sum to its printed Total in both panels, including the back-pay award dollar rows, so no misprints are suspected. Scan quality: the page is a clean 300-ppi bitonal scan with scattered speckle marks in the margins and a few stray specks inside the table area (e.g. a tick left of "264" and left of "11" in panel B, a comma-like speck before "33" in panel B); these are artefacts, not punctuation, and were ignored. Degraded dotted i's in words such as "Notices", "Recognition" and "bargaining" are rendered normally. Nothing is cut off by the crop.
