106 of 106 figures sit in a row or column sum that works out.
p. 104. Seven columns: stub plus Total and five identification columns. The stub has no printed heading at any level; "Number of cases" spans all six value columns, "Identification of complainant or petitioner" spans the last five, and "Total" is a tall heading spanning the second and third heading levels. The four centered lines "All cases^1", "Unfair labor practice cases", "Representation cases" and "Union-shop deauthorization cases" are section banners spanning the value columns; they are transcribed as label-only rows. Each section repeats the same five row labels, so rows cannot be told apart by label alone. Footnote markers: "All cases" carries a raised 1 in the banner; in the Unfair labor practice section the Pending July 1, 1952 Total is printed as a raised 2 ahead of 3,068, transcribed as 3,068^2. The text of footnote 2 is not printed on this crop (it falls below the cropped area), so only footnote 1 is listed, and footnote 1 itself is cut off mid-glossary: the "CB" line is clipped at the bottom edge and its trailing subsection numbers "(1), (2), (3), (5), (6)" are only partly legible; further "C" designations almost certainly continue below the crop. In the Union-shop deauthorization section the Employers column holds a dash rule on all five rows, transcribed as "". Heading orthography: the scan shows letter-spaced capitals with faint or missing periods ("A F L affiliates", "C. I O affiliates"); the AFL heading is given as printed without periods, and the CIO heading is given with periods, but the exact punctuation of both is indistinct at this resolution. Arithmetic check (not applied to any cell): every row's five identification columns sum exactly to its Total, and the three case-type sections sum exactly to the All cases figures on all five rows, so no misprint is suspected.
