Reader’s notes
p. 304. 15 columns: stub plus three spanner groups (Elections participated in = 5 cols; Employees involved in elections = 5 cols; Valid votes cast = 4 cols). In the percent columns the decimal point is very faint or dropped in the scan, so several cells read as a gap (e.g. "26 7", "73 3", "54 8", "88 6", "15 4", "84 6", "23 0", "34 5", "65 5", "37 0", "57 0"); all of these are one-decimal percentages and are transcribed with a decimal point. That reading is corroborated arithmetically in every case (e.g. 27/101 = 26.7, 2,369/2,801 = 84.6, 1,835/3,220 = 57.0). No footnote markers and no footnote text appear under the table. The caption "Table 11.—Decertification elections by affiliation of participating unions, fiscal year 1952" is omitted per instructions.
