p. 314. Decimal points in the "Percent of cases closed" column have dropped out of this 1-bit scan: the cells read as "100 0", "99 5", "86 5", "10 6", "2 3" on the page, and are transcribed as 100.0, 99.5, 86.5, 10.6, 2.3. On the same reasoning the two sub-1 percentages print as a bare "1" (Otherwise) and a bare "5" (After formal action, total) with no visible leading dot; they are transcribed as ".1" and ".5", which is what the case counts imply (4/6,843 and 33/6,843). If the grader wants strictly what ink is visible, those two cells would be "1" and "5". Footnote markers: the "Total number of cases closed" figure carries two raised markers (1 and 2) before 6,843, and "Withdrawn" carries raised 3 and 4 before 727; both are rendered with two carets. Terminal periods after footnotes 1 and 3 ("Includes 7 UD cases", "Includes 6 UD cases") and after "appropriate" in footnote 2 are not visible in the scan and are left off; they may be dropped dots. Likewise footnote 2 reads "Oct 22," on the page, probably "Oct. 22," in the original. All arithmetic in the table is internally consistent as transcribed (5,059+151+144+4+521+39 = 5,918; 5,918+727+161+4 = 6,810; 6,810+33 = 6,843; 1+1 = 2 and 2+1+22+7+1 = 33), so no misprints are suspected. The percent column cells for the indented detail rows hold dash rules and are recorded as empty.
