0 of 21 figures sit in a row or column sum that works out.
p. 307. Panel layout: each of the three sections (A, B, C) is printed as two panels side by side, sharing one set of column headings printed only once at the top of section A. Following the single-panel rule, each section's left-panel rows are given first, then that section's right-panel rows, directly under the same three columns. In section A the left panel holds Total cases, 8 (a) (1), 8 (a) (2) and the right panel holds 8 (a) (3)-(5); in section B the left panel holds Total cases and 8 (b) (1)-(3), the right panel 8 (b) (4)-(6); in section C the left panel holds Total cases 8 (b) (1), 8 (b) (1) (A) and (B), and the right panel has its own total row, Total cases 8 (b) (4), followed by 8 (b) (4) (A)-(D). The right panel's stub column carries no heading, so the stub heading cell is empty. Decimal points: the scan has dropped many small dots (the headings read "showing", "specific", "allegations" with dotless i's for the same reason). Several percent cells therefore print with a blank gap where the decimal point belongs: 11 7, 100 0 (8 (a) (1)), 69 6, 29 7, 11 2, 21 8, 4 0, 9 2, 30 1. I have restored those decimal points, since every restored value checks out against its own base (e.g. 2,899/4,164 = 69.6, 489/4,164 = 11.7, 22/239 = 9.2) and other cells in the same column do print the point clearly (57.0, 61.0, 1.6, 1.9, 97.4, 59.8, 25.1). No digits were altered. Footnote markers: raised 1 and 2 are printed to the LEFT of the values they mark; I have moved them behind the value. Where two markers appear on one value (the section A Total cases row), each is given its own caret: 4,164^1^2. The text of footnotes 1 and 2 is not contained in this crop - the crop ends just below the closing rule of section C, where the first line of footnote text is beginning - so the footnotes list is empty. Other: an ink blot or stray mark sits immediately before the raised 2 on the 8 (a) (1) "Number of cases" cell; it is not a character and was not transcribed. The section C heading letter reads like "O." in the scan but is "C." given the A/B/C sequence. The percent columns in sections A and B do not sum to 100 because a case can show more than one allegation; that is the nature of the table, not a misprint.
