Decisions rendered — by case number and company

p. 239. Content: this is not a numeric statistical table but an alphabetical case list (case number + case name) from the appendix of cases decided. Grid shape: 2 columns — cell 0 is the case number (the stub), cell 1 is the case name. No column headings are printed anywhere on the crop, so header_rows is empty. Panels: the page is set in two side-by-side panels separated by a vertical rule, and each lettered/numbered section spans both panels. I transcribed panel-wise within each section: all of a section's left-panel entries first, then that same section's right-panel entries, before moving to the next section heading. Rows printed side by side are therefore never paired. Within each section the two panels together are in a single alphabetical sequence (left panel A–D, right panel G–O, etc.). Section/heading lines carried as labels with an empty second cell: "3. LMRA—CB cases", "4. LMRA—CC cases", "C. Cases decided by adoption of intermediate report in absence of exceptions", "1. NLRA—C cases", "2. LMRA—CA cases". Em dashes in the section headings are as printed; the hyphens inside case numbers are printed as short en dashes and are transcribed as plain hyphens. Crop boundaries: the list is continued from the preceding page — sections "3. LMRA—CB cases" and "4. LMRA—CC cases" belong to an outer section (presumably "B.") whose heading is not on this image. At the bottom, section "2. LMRA—CA cases" is cut off by the crop: both panels end mid-alphabet (left panel at "7-CA-99 Horst Manufacturing Co.", right panel at "10-CA-190 Rowland, D. H., Lumber Mills, L. O. Rowland."), so the section continues on the next page. Doubtful / probable misprints, transcribed as printed: - "21-CA-157 / American Foundry, Dominie Meaglia." — "Dominie" is likely a misprint or worn type for "Dominic"; the characters read as "Dominie" on the scan. - "1-CA-299 / Isreal Putnam Mills, Inc." — printed "Isreal", almost certainly a misprint for "Israel" (Israel Putnam Mills); left as printed. - "16E-C-0001 / Hicks-Hayward Co." — the case number is unusual in form (region prefix "16E" and a four-digit zero-padded serial); the characters are legible and transcribed exactly. - "21-CB-38 / AFL Stage Employees & Local 706 (Wilshire Pictures Corp.)." — the "&" after "Employees" is as printed and reads oddly, but no other character is visible there. - "16-C-1404 / Master Tank & Welding." — the name ends at "Welding." with the line-break hyphenation "Weld- ing"; no "Co." is printed. - "2-CC-73 / CIO Retail & Wholesale Employees Retail & Wholesale Employees Union, Local 830, (Federated Purchaser, Inc.)." — the repetition of "Retail & Wholesale Employees" is as printed, as is the comma before the parenthesis. Row labels that wrapped over two to four printed lines were joined into one line and end-of-line hyphens repaired (e.g. "Clax- ton" → "Claxton", "Em- ployees" → "Employees", "Manufac- turing" → "Manufacturing", "Pack- ing" → "Packing", "Can- ning" → "Canning", "Lum- ber" → "Lumber", "Row- land" → "Rowland", "Co- op" → "Co-op", where the hyphen in "Co-op" is retained as part of the word). Extra inter-word spacing from justification (e.g. "U n i o n, L o c a l 8 3 0") was normalized to single spaces.

p. 240. The crop shows no column headings (it continues a case list from the preceding page), so header_rows is empty. Two printed columns: case number (stub) and case name. The page is set as two side-by-side panels, but the bold section headings ("3. LMRA—CB cases", "4. LMRA—CC cases") run the full width of the page and break both panels at the same point, and the entries are alphabetical reading down the left panel and then down the right panel within each section. I therefore transcribed in that reading order — within each section, the left panel's entries followed by the right panel's — rather than placing the entire left panel ahead of the entire right panel, which would have stranded the CA-case entries 13-CA-44, 9-CA-26 and 6-CA-7 below the CB and CC section headings they do not belong to. No row of one panel is paired with the row printed beside it. The crop begins mid-section: the heading for the CA-case section (presumably "2. LMRA—CA cases") is on the previous page and is not printed here. Last row: the right panel's "Pacific Coast (Todd-Johnson Dry Docks, Inc.)." is printed with no case number and no union name, at the top of the right panel in the CC section. It is almost certainly the tail of the preceding left-panel entry 15-CC-10, whose printed text breaks off at a comma ("...Wipers Association,"); joined, the name reads "CIO Marine Cooks, & Marine Firemen, Oilers, Watertenders & Wipers Association, Pacific Coast (Todd-Johnson Dry Docks, Inc.)." I left the two printed blocks as the two rows actually set on the page rather than merging them, since the bottom edge of the crop clips the left panel just below "Wipers Association," and I cannot see whether further left-panel lines were cut off. A stray ink speck precedes "CIO" in the 15-CC-10 entry and another sits above "6-CA-7"'s row and left of the 15-CC-10 case number; I read all three as scanning artifacts, not footnote markers. The gap between the 4-CA-119 and 21-CA-135 entries is extra leading only, not a dropped row.
