p. 175. Seven columns: stub, Total, and five "Identification of petitioner" columns. Header structure: "Total" is a tall heading occupying the full height of the heading block, so it is repeated in all three levels. The rules under "Number of cases" and under "Identification of petitioner" both appear to begin at the vertical rule to the right of the Total column, so "Number of cases" is transcribed as spanning only the five petitioner columns. This is the one structural judgement I am less than certain of: if the top rule actually runs the full width of the data area, "Number of cases" would instead span Total plus the five petitioner columns and "Total" would span only the lower two levels. The cell values and their column placement are unaffected either way. "C I. O. affiliates": no period is visible after the "C" in the scan; transcribed as printed, but the intended heading is almost certainly "C. I. O. affiliates". NLRA—R section, "Cases pending July 1, 1948", Total column: the figure is overprinted with stray ink/smudging that partly obscures the leading characters. Read as 204; this is corroborated by the identical 204 on the "Cases on docket" line (the "Cases received" line is blank) and by 95+75+28+6=204. NLRA—R section, "Cases received July 1, 1948-June 30, 1949": the entire row is dash rule, so every value cell is empty. Footnote markers: in the footnote block the third marker is rendered in the scan like a superscript "8"; from the sequence 1, 2, 3, 4 and the raised "3" attached to 1,708 in the body it is a 3, transcribed as such. All printed column figures add to their printed Total in every row of every section; no arithmetic discrepancies found. Minor scan artifacts in the blank stub area (a small mark below the RC block near "Cases pending June 30, 1949", and a short stroke left of the RD block) are printing/scan noise, not table content.
