Reader’s notes

p. 172. The crop shows no printed column headings (the caption and any heading band lie above the crop), so header_rows is empty. Two columns: a stub of expense-object labels and a single unlabeled amount column. The grid rule above the grand total is the usual total rule, not a data cell. The dollar sign is printed only on the first value (Salaries). All digit groups are printed with a space after the comma in the original typesetting (e.g. "$6, 538, 918"); commas retained, spaces removed as instructed. The nine item amounts sum exactly to the printed grand total of 8,455,753, which supports the digit reading. The printed page number at the lower right (155) is excluded.
