Reader’s notes
p. 113. 11 columns: a stub plus five two-column panels (All R, NLRA R, RC, RM, RD), each with "Number of cases" and "Percent of cases closed". Footnote-reference cells: in the "Otherwise" row (Before formal action block) the NLRA percent and the RC percent both stand in for a value and are transcribed as "(2)"; the NLRA one is clearly a 2, while the RC one is degraded and could be misread as "(1)" — footnote 2 ("Less than 0.1 percent") is the applicable one there (2 of 3,142 = 0.06 percent), and footnote 1 concerns case-type definitions, so "(2)" is the reading given. The same "(2)" appears for the RC percent in the "Dismissed" row under "Before hearing" (1 of 3,142). Cells shown as dash rules (------) in the image are transcribed as "". These are: the RC/RM/RD columns of "Regional director directed election" (all three occurrences) and of "After regional director directed election" (both occurrences); the RD columns of "Recognition" and of "After Board ordered election" under "Dismissed"/"After Board decision"; and the NLRA, RC and RM columns of "Decertified".
