Reader’s notes

p. 92. Five printed columns. In the Total row the raised 1 printed before 14 in the "applications granted" column is the footnote marker, transcribed as 14^1. Row "(a) Against unions" has a dash rule in the "applications denied" column, given as "". Row "(b) Against employers" has no entry in the last column. The last column for "Proceedings under sec. 10 (l)" is printed on two lines ("1 withdrawn." / "1 pending.") and is joined into one cell. In the heading "Number of cases instituted" the last word's initial letter is ambiguous in the scan (it could read "Instituted"); transcribed in sentence case. Note that the printed Total of granted applications (14) exceeds the sum of the listed rows (2+1+11=14) correctly, but the denied column sums to 5 only if the blank cell for (a) is zero; transcribed as printed. The caption and the stray tick mark to the right of the stub heading are omitted.
