Cases in Which Elections Were Directed

p. 164. This crop is not a numeric table but a page of the report's appendix listing cases: two printed columns, the stub holding the case number and the second column the case name. No column headings are printed, so header_rows is empty. The two centered lines "II. Representation Cases" and "A. Cases in Which Elections Were Directed" are transcribed as label-only section rows; they are section divisions of the list, not a table caption. The blank lines that separate the alphabetical groups (A, B, C, D, ...) are typographic spacing only and are not transcribed as rows. The list is alphabetical by case name and runs off the bottom of the page after "8-R-2575 Ohio Rubber Co."; it continues on the following page, which is outside this crop. Doubtful cells: in the row "7-R-2593" the station call letters are printed in a way I read as "Well & Well FM" (with "FM" in heavier type); these are almost certainly the Lansing, Michigan call signs WELL and WELL-FM, so the capitalisation may actually be all caps. In the row "10-R-1842" the final word is scanned with a broken "n" and reads nearly as "Ipc."; I transcribe it as "Inc." In the row "5-R-2852" (Imperial Tobacco Co.) the leading region digit is smudged and could be read as 6; 5 is consistent with the other Baltimore-region entries. Region codes with letter suffixes (15M, 17D, 5W, 13M) are transcribed as printed. Trailing periods after the case names are kept as printed. All case-number separators are printed as short dashes and are transcribed as hyphens.
