p. 79. Four columns (stub plus three numeric). The table is printed as one panel.\n\nDecimal points: the typesetting leaves a space after the decimal point throughout (printed \"100. 0\", \"79. 8\"); these are transcribed closed up. In two cells the decimal point itself did not take in the scan and the digits read as separated groups: \"Recognition\" (first occurrence, under \"Before formal action, total\" / \"Adjusted\") in the \"Percent of cases closed\" column prints as \"3 4\", and \"Consent election and cross check\" (first occurrence) in the same column prints as \"46 2\". Given the uniform one-decimal format of the column and the surrounding values, these are read as 3.4 and 46.2; flagging in case the source should be re-checked.\n\nThe cells transcribed \"(^1)\" hold a parenthesised raised 1 and no number — a footnote reference standing in place of a value (footnote 1: \"Less than 0.1 percent.\"). The footnote marker printed at the foot of the table is a raised 1 that scans ambiguously (it can look like a small \"s\" or \"z\"); it is read as 1.\n\n\"Cases on docket during the year\" has a dash rule in the \"Percent of cases closed\" column, transcribed as an empty cell.\n\nCompleteness: the crop ends after the last \"Dismissed\" row with the footnote printed below it, but the body shown does not exhaust the table — \"After formal action, total\" is 2,111 while the \"Before hearing\" (147) and \"After hearing\" (104) sections shown here account for only 251 cases, so later stages of formal action almost certainly continue on the following page. All other printed subtotals on this page add correctly (8,331 + 2,111 = 10,442; 356 + 4,825 + 341 = 5,522; 5,522 + 2,134 + 657 + 18 = 8,331; 89 + 53 + 5 = 147; 57 + 42 + 5 = 104).

p. 80. The image is not a crop of a single table: it is the whole of printed page 72 and contains three captioned tables — Table 8 (continued from the previous page, 4 columns), Table 9 ("Forms of remedy in unfair labor practice cases closed during the fiscal year 1947, by identification of complainant", 6 columns), and Table 10 ("Formal action taken during the fiscal year 1947", 7 columns). Because the three have different column counts they cannot share one rectangular grid, so following the "t1" index in the file name I transcribed only the first table on the page, Table 8—Continued. Tables 9 and 10 on this image are NOT transcribed here and will need their own passes. The two footnotes printed at the foot of the page ("1 The figure for actions is less than the number of cases involved because a group of individual cases are sometimes consolidated for 1 action." and "2 Includes 25 prehearing election cases in which the Board directed the opening and counting of challenged ballots.") belong to Table 10, not to Table 8, so `footnotes` is empty. Table 8 as transcribed carries no footnote markers. The crop shows only the continuation portion of Table 8; the earlier stages of the table (and any footnotes to it) are on the preceding page. Internal checks all agree with the printed figures, which supports the digit readings: 442+94+674+150 = 1,360 (Certified); 142+172+16+92 = 422 (Dismissed); 1,360+422+78 = 1,860 (After Board decision); the percent columns sum the same way (13.0+4.0+.8 = 17.8 and 10.4+3.3+.6 = 14.3). The sub-unit percentages are printed without a leading zero (".9", ".7", ".2", ".1") and are transcribed as printed. The two indented groups under "Certified" and "Dismissed" repeat the labels "Stipulated election and cross check", "Ordered election" and "Prehearing election and Board decision"; the repetition is in the original, not a transcription error. Indentation levels are not representable in the grid, so "Certified", "Dismissed" and "Withdrawn" are sub-items of "After Board decision" and the rows beneath each are sub-items of those in the printed hierarchy.
