  1. 1 In unfair labor practice cases "workers involved" are the number employed in the establishment where the case arises; in representation cases "worked involved" are the number in the "unit" for which the petition is filed or the number in the "unit" found appropriate by the Board.

65 of 65 figures sit in a row or column sum that works out.

Reader’s notes

p. 75. Eight columns: stub plus three "Number" columns, two "Percent of total" columns and two "Workers involved" columns, all under the spanning head "Cases received". The footnote marker 1 is attached to the "Workers involved" heading. Doubtful cell: November, "Percent of total / Unfair labor practice cases" is printed as "30 9" — the decimal point did not ink in this scan. I transcribed it as 30.9; 347/1,124 = 30.9 and the row's two percentages then sum to 100.0, so the missing point is a printing/scan defect rather than a different value. OCR-style scan noise in the image, resolved from context and not reproduced in the cells: the stub label for September appears as "Beptember", and several headings and digits are broken by the coarse halftone (e.g. "practice" in the column heads reads "practlce"). The month labels are standard and were transcribed in their normal spelling. Arithmetic checks all pass as printed, so no misprints are suspected in the body: the twelve monthly values sum exactly to each of the five printed totals (14,909; 4,232; 10,677; 3,158,190; 1,387,731), each month's unfair labor practice plus representation cases equals its "All cases" figure, and every printed percentage matches its own row to the rounding shown. The fiscal-year months run July through June, as printed; they are not in calendar order. The footnote reads "worked involved" in its second clause where "workers involved" is clearly meant — transcribed as printed.
