p. 75. Seven columns. The stub has no printed heading, so cell 0 of every header row is empty. Header structure: the rule under "Number of cases" runs only across the four identification columns, and "Total" is set as a tall head rising to the table's top rule (its text is vertically centred on the full header depth), so "Total" is repeated in all three header levels and "Number of cases" is given only over the four identification columns. A reader may reasonably take "Number of cases" to govern the Total column as well, since the contrast is with the final workers column; the grid reflects the printed rules rather than that reading. Last column of the "All cases" block: all five cells hold a raised parenthesised footnote reference rather than a figure; transcribed as "(1)". "Representation cases", first row, stub: printed "Cases pending July 1, 1947". This looks like a misprint for 1946 — the two blocks' first rows sum to the All-cases line for July 1, 1946 (2,225 + 2,380 = 4,605). Transcribed as printed. Arithmetic check: every column of all three blocks is internally consistent (pending + received = on docket; on docket − closed = pending June 30) and the two case blocks sum to the "All cases" block exactly, with one exception — the last column of the Representation block, where 1,976,432 − 1,526,180 = 450,252 but 450,302 is printed. The discrepancy is 50, so either "1,526,180" is really 1,526,130 or "450,302" is really 450,252; the 8/3 and 0/5 shapes are both worn in this type. Both cells are transcribed as read, uncorrected. Footnote 1 is clipped by the bottom edge of the crop: only its first line is present and it is faint, breaking off after "differs for the 2 types of".
