Reader’s notes

p. 111. The table is printed as two side-by-side panels sharing one set of headings; the right panel's rows (beginning with the section line "Subsections of Sec. 8 of the Act—Continued") are placed below the left panel's rows here. That "—Continued" line is a body section label within the panel, not a caption-continuation line, so it is retained as a row. Decimal points in the "Percent of total" column are very faint or lost in this 1-bit scan, so the cells read as e.g. "12 7", "0 8", "100 0". They are transcribed with decimal points ("12.7", "0.8", "100.0"), which is unambiguous from the magnitudes and from the arithmetic (see below). In the "Percent of total" column, the rows "8 (1) (4)" (left panel) and "8 (1) (2) (4) (5)" (right panel) carry no numeric value, only a raised footnote reference 2 set in parentheses; these are transcribed as "(^2)" (footnote 2 reads "Less than 0.1 percent"). The left panel's section line is printed "Subsections of Sec 8 of the Act" with no period visible after "Sec" in the scan; it is given as "Sec. 8" to match the right panel's clearly printed "Sec. 8". "Recapitulation" is printed in italics. All figures cross-check against the image: the eleven left-panel counts plus the three continued rows total 3,815, equal to the recapitulation line for 8 (1); the counts for subsections (2), (3), (4) and (5) summed across the detail rows give 315, 2,434, 46 and 1,241 respectively, matching the recapitulation; and each recapitulation percent matches its count over 3,815. No misprints detected. The crop includes the caption and running text above it, which are excluded per instructions.
