p. 110. Structure: the table is printed as two blocks stacked vertically, sharing one stub column and one set of column rules (7 columns). The upper block is headed "Cases filed" (All cases, C cases, R cases) and "Cases closed" (All cases, C cases, R cases); these are the headings given in header_rows. Below the upper block's Total row, a second heading band is printed across the same columns reading "Cases on docket" (left three columns) and "Cases pending, end of period" (right three columns), after which the fiscal years 1936-1946 restart. I have carried that printed heading band as row 13 of the body, repeating each spanner in every column it spans (same convention as header_rows), with an empty stub cell. It is printed heading text, not a row label and not editorial commentary. The second block does not reprint the "All cases / C cases / R cases" sub-headings; its three columns under each spanner sit directly beneath, and are vertically aligned with, the upper block's All cases / C cases / R cases columns, which is the basis for the column order used for rows 14-24. The second block has no Total row; none is printed (consistent with docket and pending counts not being additive across years). Arithmetic cross-checks (reported for the reader's information; nothing was computed into or altered in the grid): every data row satisfies C cases + R cases = All cases in both blocks; the 1936-1946 column sums of the upper block reproduce the printed Total row exactly in all six columns (41,121; 48,372; 89,493; 38,896; 45,992; 84,888); and the two blocks reconcile with each other for all eleven years, with cases on docket minus cases closed equal to cases pending, and cases filed plus the prior year's pending equal to cases on docket. No misprint or internal inconsistency was found. Legibility: the scan carries scattered stray specks (for example a dot near "Fiscal year" in the stub heading, one left of 3,934 in the 1940 C cases filed cell, one left of 4,330 in the 1938 R cases on docket cell, one left of 6,808 in the 1940 C cases on docket cell, and marks in the top and bottom margins). These are scanning artifacts, not footnote markers or punctuation, and are not transcribed. No footnote markers appear anywhere in the table, and no footnotes are printed beneath it. The row labels are followed by leader dots, which are dropped. The crop is complete: the caption, both rules and the full body are present and nothing is cut off.
