Reader’s notes

p. 99. Five columns: stub, Total, and three "Identification of party filing" columns. "Number of cases" spans all four data columns; "Total" is a tall heading spanning the second and third heading levels. The stub has no printed heading, so its heading cells are empty. Heading wording: the third column heading is printed "A. F..of L. affiliate" — the extra mark between "F." and "of" is a scanning artifact/stray period; transcribed as "A. F. of L. affiliate". Row labels: the three date-range labels are printed as "July 1944, June 30, 1945" (e.g. "Cases received July 1944, June 30, 1945"). Almost certainly the printed form of "July 1, 1944–June 30, 1945" with the "1," and the dash lost or broken in the scan; transcribed exactly as legible on this image, with no reconstruction. All arithmetic in the table is internally consistent as transcribed (54+1,284=1,338; 1,338−1,183=155; 404+727+52=1,183, and the same holds column by column), so no suspected digit misreads.
