Two centered section lines carry a label and no values: "Subsections of Section 8 of the Act" and "Recapitulation"; the "Total" row below the first one is indented under it. In the first section line the word "of" is rendered by the scan as "cf" ("Subsections cf Section 8 of the Act"); this is a broken-type/scan artifact of the same word that is set correctly later in the line, so it is transcribed as "of". The "Percent of total" cells for rows "8 (1) (4) (5)" and "8 (1) (2) (3) (4) (5)" contain no number: each holds only a parenthesized raised footnote reference to footnote 2 ("Less than 0.1 percent."), printed as a superscript 2 inside parentheses. These are written as "(^2)" since the marker is the entire content of the cell rather than attached to a value. Typesetting leaves a space after the digit-grouping comma ("2, 427", "1, 388", "1, 639") and after the decimal point ("13. 9", "100. 0"); these are closed up per instructions. The caption's footnote marker 1 (on "year 1945 1") belongs to the omitted caption. Arithmetic is internally consistent as printed: the 13 detail rows sum to 2,427, matching the Total; the recapitulation lines also reconcile (8 (2) = 199, 8 (3) = 1,639, 8 (4) = 36, 8 (5) = 507). No suspected misprints in the numbers.
