Distribution of cases and workers involved in cases received during the fiscal year 1945, by month

Eight columns: stub (Month) plus seven data columns under the spanner "Cases received", which subdivides into "Number" (3 columns), "Percent of total" (2 columns) and "Workers involved^1" (2 columns). The raised 1 on "Workers involved" is the footnote marker. The body rows run Total first, then the twelve months in fiscal-year order (July through June); the Total row is printed above the monthly rows and is transcribed in that printed position. All five count columns foot exactly to the printed Total row (All cases 9,737; unfair labor practice 2,427; representation 7,310; workers involved 3,161,301 and 1,488,967), so no misprints are suspected. Typesetting spaces after commas and in decimals (e.g. "9, 737", "24. 9") were closed up per instruction. In the footnote, the word "establishment" is partly broken up by scan speckle but is legible and unambiguous; it is transcribed normally. A few stray ink specks sit in the white space of the header and body (e.g. above "Number" and beside the January row) and are not marks on any value.
