Disposition of unfair labor practice cases closed during the fiscal year 1944, by stage and method

p. 86. Four printed columns; one heading level. The stub keeps the printed wording only — the original's indentation levels (e.g. "Adjusted", "Withdrawn", "Dismissed" under each stage, and the indented "Total number of cases closed") are not carried into the cells. The two blocks of indented detail rows named "Adjusted/Withdrawn/Dismissed/Closed otherwise" repeat as labels; their parent is the nearest preceding stage row ("Before formal action, total", "Before hearing", "After hearing", "After Board decision", "After court action"). In the "Closed otherwise" row under "After hearing", both percent columns print a parenthesized raised 1 in place of a value, pointing to footnote 1 ("Less than 0.1 percent."); transcribed as (^1) to mark it as a footnote reference rather than the number 1. "Percent of cases closed" for "Cases on docket during the year" is a row of leader dots (no value), transcribed as "". Percentages beginning with a decimal point are printed without a leading zero (".8", ".1") and are transcribed that way. The typesetting puts a space after the decimal point in many cells ("84. 7", "3, 896"); those spaces are removed. Minor legibility checks, all resolved and cross-checked against the arithmetic (all row sums and percentages are internally consistent): "Withdrawn / Percent of cases on docket" under "Before formal action" reads 29.7 (29.75 = 1,159/3,896), not 20.7; "After hearing / Percent of cases closed" reads 1.2 followed by a stray ink mark that is not a footnote marker. The scan carries scattered specks (e.g. a dash-like mark above "Total number of cases closed" and a dot in the "Compliance" leader line) that are page noise, not characters.
