Reader’s notes

p. 213. Structure: the table is printed as three side-by-side panels across the page, each panel having its own pair of columns under the repeated headings "Numbers appearing herein" / "Numbers appearing in Federal Register". Following the panel rule, the headings are given once and the panels are stacked: left panel (Article I, Article II sections 1-27), then middle panel (Article II—Continued sections 28-38, Article III, Article IV), then right panel (Articles V-XI). No row of one panel is paired with a row printed beside it in another panel. Article/section lines ("ARTICLE I", "ARTICLE II", "ARTICLE II—Continued", etc.) are set in small capitals across both columns of their panel and carry no values; they are transcribed as label-only rows. "ARTICLE II—Continued" is a within-body section line (the heading of the middle panel's first block), not a table-caption continuation line, so it is retained. In the stub, the word "Section" is printed only on the first line of each block and the following lines carry the bare number; in the second column "Section" likewise appears only on the first line of each block. Both are transcribed exactly as printed. Printed decimals are typeset with a space after the point ("201. 1"); transcribed as "201.1". Suspected misprints, transcribed as printed and not corrected: - Article II, row "Section 1": the Federal Register column reads "Section 201.1", duplicating the Article I entry; the sequence implies 202.1. - Article II, row "20": reads "202.10", duplicating the entry for row "10"; the sequence implies 202.20. - Article II, row "23": reads "220.23" (digits 0 and 2 transposed in the prefix); the sequence implies 202.23. These three readings were checked against the surrounding sequence and are what the page shows. Doubtful cells: Article II row "14" shows a stray ink mark after "202.14" in the Federal Register column (an artifact, not a footnote marker); Article I row "Section 1" has a stray mark among its leader dots. The right panel's repeated heading is printed "Numbers appearing in Fed eral Register" (the end-of-line hyphen failed to print); joined as "Numbers appearing in Federal Register". Out of scope of the grid: the crop also contains the "APPENDIX F" heading and the introductory paragraph above the table, plus the page number 208 below it; these are not part of the table and are not transcribed. No footnotes are printed under the table.
