I. O., For unaffiliated union, For no union), and "Percent of total votes cast for petitioner". Many cells hold a dash rule (------) and are transcribed as "". Footnote markers 1-9 are printed as small raised digits to the left of the figures in the "Number of elections and pay-roll checks" column; they are recorded after the value behind a caret. Doubtful cell: row "Unaffiliated union on ballot" under "C. I. O. affiliate, petitioner:", column "Percent of total votes cast for petitioner" — read as 57.9, but 93,581/161,788 = 57.8, so this is either a printed rounding error or a scan ambiguity between 8 and 9 in the final digit. All other percent figures and all "Total" valid-vote figures are internally consistent with their components as transcribed. Column heading "Percent" (under "Elections won by petitioner") is degraded in the scan and prints like "Percenu"; transcribed as "Percent".
