Reader’s notes
p. 89. Five columns: stub plus three "Cases" columns and "Workers involved", which is a tall heading spanning both heading levels. The footnote-2 marker is printed as a small raised 2 immediately BEFORE the value ".0" in several percent cells (Pay-roll check and Dismissed rows under Before hearing and After hearing); following the marker convention it is transcribed after the value as ".0^2". Row labels repeat across sections (Adjusted, Recognition, Consent election, Pay-roll check, Withdrawn, Dismissed, After stipulated election, After ordered election, Without election) at different indentation levels; indentation is not preserved in the grid. All internal arithmetic checks (component rows summing to their subtotals and totals, in both the Number and Workers involved columns) are consistent with the figures as transcribed, so no misprints are suspected. The scan is slightly speckled: "6,285" in the total row and "428" in the Before-formal-action Dismissed row are a bit broken but both are confirmed by the column sums.
