p. 83. Six printed columns: stub, "Total number of workers involved" (carrying a raised 2 footnote marker, transcribed as ^2), and four columns under the spanner "Party filing". The stub column has no printed heading, so cell 0 of both heading levels is empty. "Unaffiliat-ed union" is hyphenated at the line break and is joined to "Unaffiliated union". The two centered lines "Workers involved in unfair labor practice cases" and "Workers involved in representation cases" are printed across the data columns, not in the stub; they are transcribed as section rows with the label in cell 0 and empty value cells. Row dates are printed with an en dash ("July 1941-June 1942"); kept as an en dash. The raised 1 on "workers" appears only in the caption, which is excluded. Internal checks all agree with the printed figures: in both panels, pending + received = on docket and on docket - closed = pending June 30, in every one of the five numeric columns. The party-filing columns sum to slightly more than the total column in the unfair-labor-practice panel (e.g. 1,602,334 vs. 1,601,809 for the first row), which footnote 2 explains as duplication of jointly filed cases; nothing was computed or altered. The one figure worth noting is the last cell, "Individual or employer" for "Cases pending June 30, 1942" in the representation panel: it reads 1,940, which is small beside its neighbors, but it is confirmed by 128,682 - 126,742 = 1,940.
