Reader’s notes

p. 81. The crop shows no column headings, so header_rows is empty; the table is two columns (stub plus a single amount column). The printed page number "74" at the bottom left was omitted. Horizontal rules precede the "Total salaries and expenses" row and the "Grand total expenditures and obligations" row; both are blank-line separated in the original but carry no extra cells. All digits are clearly legible; the printed totals are internally consistent (the eight item lines sum to 2,848,831, and that plus 220,444 equals 3,069,275). Typesetting spaces after the digit-grouping commas ("$2, 239, 503") were closed up as instructed.
