p. 46. Six columns: two stub-type label columns ("Petitioning union", "Intervening union") followed by Elections (Number, Percent won by petitioner) and Valid votes (Number, Percent won by petitioner). The two spanner headings "Elections" and "Valid votes" each cover two columns; "Petitioning union" and "Intervening union" are tall headings spanning both heading levels, so they are repeated in the second level. The abbreviation labels run straight into dash/dot leaders, so a trailing period after "L" and "O" cannot be distinguished from the first leader mark; I have written them as "A. F. of L." and "C. I. O." following standard abbreviation practice. Percentages in the original are set with a space after the decimal point ("47. 4"); the spaces are removed as instructed, as are the spaces in the grouped thousands ("80, 524"). The table has no total row. A stray ink speck appears in the stub area under "Petitioning union" and another in the body between the "Unaffiliated"/row-4 label area and the Elections Number column; neither is a digit or a footnote marker.
