The stub word "Type:" is printed flush left on the same line as the "Number" heading, with the three type rows indented beneath it, so it is transcribed as the stub heading rather than as a section row. All four values are clearly legible; the printed total (2,566) equals the sum of the three components (1,932 + 102 + 532). Row labels are followed by leader dots, which have been dropped; the short rule above the Total row is a dash rule, not a value. The caption ("TABLE 18.—Number and types of elections or pay-roll checks conducted, 1940-41") has been omitted as instructed.
