0 of 66 figures sit in a row or column sum that works out.
p. 169. 13 columns: stub "Month" plus a pair of columns (man-days of idleness; industrial production index) for each year 1935 through 1940. The first body row carries no label; it holds the italic unit word "Thous." printed once in each of the six man-days columns, just below the header rule. I transcribed it as a body row rather than a heading level because it sits below the rule; the index columns have no unit word. Footnote markers 1, 2 and 3 are printed as small raised digits to the LEFT of the values they attach to (April 1939 = 4,902, May 1939 = 3,548, June 1940 = 400); per instructions they are written after the value behind a caret. The marker on the June 1940 value is faint but is consistent with footnote 3 ("Preliminary estimate"), which fits the 1940 preliminary data described in the SOURCES line. Doubtful cells: February 1936 man-days reads "748" followed by a small stray apostrophe-like speck; I read it as 748 with no marker, since no footnote matches. December 1936 man-days is read as 2,066; the last two digits are thickened by the scan and 2,068 cannot be fully excluded. July through December in the 1940 pair of columns are printed as dash rules (------), transcribed as empty cells. The caption also bears a small raised marker after "June 1940"; the caption is excluded from this transcription.
