0 of 3 figures sit in a row or column sum that works out.
p. 14. The crop is a small fragment that continues a table from above: no column headings, caption, totals or footnotes are visible, so header_rows is empty. The grid has two columns, a stub of row labels and a single unlabelled numeric column. Along the bottom edge there are the clipped tops of a further printed line (ascenders only, illegible), so at least one more row and possibly more of the table lie below the crop; whatever heading or stub the numeric column carries lies above the crop. The three visible rows and their values (50, 19, 2) are crisp and unambiguous; in the first row the "o" of "contention" is partly filled in by the scan but the word is certain from context.
