p. 39. No caption is visible in the crop; the table is the fiscal-year 1937-38 case docket by Board and by region, with 22 columns (stub + 21 numeric). Column structure: the stub has no printed heading (blank in all four heading levels). "Cases on docket fiscal year 1937-38" spans the first two heading levels over "Number" and "Workers involved"; "Total cases disposed of", the "Cases pending / Before hearing" column and the final "Total" column are tall single headings set vertically, repeated down the levels they span as instructed. The hyphen in "1937-38" is printed as a short dash. Verification: every column total printed in the "Total" row reconciles exactly with the sum of the Board + 22 region rows (Number 8,213; Workers involved 1,643,039; Settled 2,839; Dismissed 1,099; Withdrawn 1,451; Transferred 98; Settled-before-hearing 62; Settled-after-hearing 59; Dismissed 10; Withdrawn 26; Transferred 3; No violation 2; Intermediate-report Compliance 12; Board-decision Dismissed 4; Board-decision Compliance 29; Total disposed 5,694; Pending before hearing 1,732; Awaiting intermediate report 232; Awaiting decision 365; Awaiting compliance 190; Total pending 2,519). In addition, each row's "Total cases disposed of" equals the sum of its 13 disposition cells and each row's pending "Total" equals the sum of its four pending cells. No arithmetic discrepancy was found anywhere in the table, which strongly corroborates the column placement of every value. Doubtful cells: (1) In the "Board" row, the "After issuance of complaint ... / Intermediate report / No violation" cell shows a small stray speck rather than the leader dashes used elsewhere; I read it as empty, which is consistent with the printed column total of 2 (Buffalo and Cleveland). (2) In row "12 Milwaukee", a small ink mark sits just to the right of the "15" in the "Before issuance of complaint / Withdrawn" column; it appears to be a scanning artifact, not a footnote marker or a digit, and the Withdrawn column total of 1,451 confirms the value is 15. "Region:" is a section line carrying a label and no values. No footnotes are printed beneath the table; the rule at the bottom of the crop is the table border.
