Disposition of all representation cases

p. 31. Column structure: a blank stub heading over the row labels, then "Number of—" spanning Cases and Workers involved, and "Percentage of—" spanning Total cases and Cases in category. "By settlement" (Cases closed after hearing): the Cases cell is printed as a raised 1 followed by 12, i.e. the value 12 carrying footnote marker 1; transcribed as 12^1. "By refusal of certification after election", Total cases column: the cell holds only a parenthesized raised 2 (a footnote reference standing in for a value, footnote 2 = "Less than 0.1 percent"); transcribed as (2). The raised digit is faint in the scan but the footnote text confirms it is 2. "Total representation cases", Cases in category column: printed as a dash rule, transcribed as "". The raised marker on the second footnote prints like a 3 in this scan but is 2, matching the reference in the body of the table. Arithmetic checks pass as printed: the Cases and Workers involved columns sum correctly to each section total (513 / 188,399; 69 / 29,522; 692 / 332,308) and to the grand total (1,274 / 550,229), and 40.2 + 5.4 + 54.4 = 100.0. Crop artifacts not transcribed: a cut-off partial line of running text at the very top left ("...cases."), and, below a short separator rule beneath the table footnotes, the page footnote "19 See footnote 1, p. 15 supra." — that rule marks it as a footnote to the page's running text rather than to this table, so it is excluded from `footnotes`. A stray ink dot follows "69" in the Cases column of "Total cases closed after hearing"; it is not read as a marker. Several small dots in the left margin are scan noise.
