0 of 16 figures sit in a row or column sum that works out.
p. 23. Three printed columns; the stub column has no printed heading (the heading area over the row labels is blank apart from a stray ink dot), so cell 0 of the single heading level is empty. Arithmetic check: the "Number of workers involved" column sums exactly to the printed total 325,898. The "Number of cases" column does not: the seven detail rows as transcribed sum to 1,375, against a printed total of 1,429 (a shortfall of 54). The discrepancy is confined to the first data row, "Recognition of workers' representatives", whose value I read as 739; if that figure were 793 the column would foot exactly to 1,429. The scan's 3 and 9 are similar in this typeface at this resolution, so this cell is doubtful — it is transcribed as it appears (739) rather than corrected, but a reader should treat it as either 739 or 793 and prefer 793 if the column total is to be trusted. All other digits are clear. A fragment of the next section's running head is visible at the very bottom edge of the crop, below the footnote, and is not part of the table.
